Feed my frog

Feed my frog... he likes to eat flies... whaddya mean you cant see the Flash? ...If you are on my blog, then go visit the full page by clicking "Read the rest of 'Feed my frog' »"... If you are already on that page, then it looks like you are missing Flash...

While looking around on the mighty Google, I came across their Google Gadgets pages and found this cute lil frog created by aBowman.com.

For those that don’t know, I have always liked frogs (just ask my mum!) and I usually incorporate one into a few of my website designs.

Ever since I was a young boy many moons ago, I have always had a fascination for those lil amphibious creatures – from trying to protect and breed them in my parents back garden to getting one tattooed on my chest during May 2006 in Newtown by Gavin Steele.

Taken from a previous post ‘…a pair of frogs

This lil fella is superb… he follows your mouse pointer and you can feed him flies just by clicking within his window…

I spent some time trying to incorporate him into my website as I wanted him crawling around on every page underneath the text and above my background images, but unfortunately due to the very nature of embedding flash into websites means that it proved quite impossible (another web designers nightmare because flash is z-index infinity in some browsers CSS).

…So for now… visit other creations by aBowman.com (the Turtle, Fish and Spider are superb :) ) – Enjoy!

About Martin Guppy

It was in my younger years, living in Kidderminster, England, UK, I picked up my first home computer - a Sinclair ZX Spectrum+ (1984). From that point on, I haven't been able to shake what seems to be my new found purpose. My 'hobby' has had me spend much of my life being surrounded by computers and gaining valuable knowledge through the art of trial and error. Thus leading me to developing Open Source Projects, such as CRIMP, Whap, Genwulf and maintaining a small cluster of my very own. I know I'm good at what I do. I also know I'm a keen and rapid learner. Should there be prospective information floating out there... I will consume it.
