I was hoping to review this beer a while ago as it is another one of my favorite bottled beers but I actually managed to drink them before taking any pictures of the bottles.
Brewed in the heart of England by Charles Wells, Banana Bread Beer uses the finest English ‘Challenger’ and ‘Goldings’ hops.
This is a very light and very moreish ale that has a subtle hint of banana in its aroma and taste with 5.2% alcohol by volume in a true British Pint (568ml) sized bottle giving 13.6% more beer than a standard 500ml bottle.
(3.0 UK Units per bottle - Please drink responsibly)
Charles Wells is the UK’s largest independent brewer and Banana Bread Beer has already achieved a number of accolades including winner of “Beer of the Festival” award at CAMRA’s London Drinker Festival in March 2002.
It looks like I might have trouble getting this beer in Australia and as such, until I find a specialist importer - I will definitely miss this bottled beer.
