Today Gurgi-Girl and myself officially got our tickets to Australia and we leave for our new life on April 19th, 2007!
Bring it on!!!
We have just over 2 1/2 weeks to sort out what we are taking, what we are selling and what we are throwing away or donating to charity.
I have been busying myself preparing new nodes for The IND-Network Cluster ready for the move and I am now able to sell all my computers on eBay.
- 4 Compaq Proliant 850R rackmount servers
- 4 Dual Processor IBM Netfinity 5000 standalone servers
- 1 Pentium Pro Industrial Server
- 1 Fully loaded Compaq rackmount Drive Array with 7 SCSI drives
- Various drives/spares/accessories
Some parts of my cluster I really want to keep so hopefully the above will raise enough cash for delivery, the most heavy item I want to hang on to is my uninterruptible power supply - battery backup device which is an older white/cream coloured version of the Smart APC 1000 UPS model.
So it’s busy busy busy while we prepare for leaving the UK.
