Happy 4th Birthday IND-Web.com

Well, I almost missed it… …and I definitely didn’t realise it had been 4 years since I started hosting services on The IND-Network Cluster!

It has been a very educational experience providing services for the general public and its something I plan to continue to do – even though my partner Gurgi-Girl and myself are planning on moving to Australia during the middle of April sometime (exact date to be confirmed).

I just recently also transfered our domain name away from the company I have been with for 6 years due to issues with DomainNamesGB not being that up to date with my requirements… its not really their fault, they were taken over by another company a few years back but their dated control panel was still in place and made it very awkward to update and maintain any major changes, let alone pay for the domain for the continuing years.

The transfer to Heart Internet was smooth, they have excellent customer support and assured me every step of the way that things will be alright and such, transferring happened without any noticeable delays or downtime.

It wasn’t until the transfer completed today that I actually realised that celebrations should have taken place for IND-Web.com on the 21st of March, so I wish a very big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to IND-Web.com and await The IND-Network Cluster’s 6th birthday on the 23rd of November when we are in Australia.

About Martin Guppy

It was in my younger years, living in Kidderminster, England, UK, I picked up my first home computer - a Sinclair ZX Spectrum+ (1984). From that point on, I haven't been able to shake what seems to be my new found purpose. My 'hobby' has had me spend much of my life being surrounded by computers and gaining valuable knowledge through the art of trial and error. Thus leading me to developing Open Source Projects, such as CRIMP, Whap, Genwulf and maintaining a small cluster of my very own. I know I'm good at what I do. I also know I'm a keen and rapid learner. Should there be prospective information floating out there... I will consume it.
